Gill Burchell

With 20 years of work experience in the voluntary, public and educational sectors, Gill's skills in project management, event planning, administration, marketing and funding complement Hayley’s skills in drama and youth work.

Gill spent 3 years as Resource Centre Manager for a secondary school in Liverpool and ran a consultation project for young people via Connexions in Cheshire. She is aware of the rewards and challenges of working with children and young people.

Having served as a charity trustee, worked in Community Information, and volunteered for many organisations, Gill wanted to start up her own group on a social enterprise model. Green Tomatoes Theatre Group has provided that opportunity.
Hayley Llewellyn

After attending Hereford Cathedral School and studying Theatre Studies at degree level, Hayley spent 10 years working in social care, primarily with children and young people in residential settings. She has an NVQ in Health and Social Care, and is trained in First Aid and Child Protection.

Hayley has recently performed in productions at the Courtyard Theatre, at Hereford Art College and for Hereford Amateur Dramatic Society. She has also been involved in community film projects.

Working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviour, convinced Hayley of the value of drama as a tool to tackle their problems, and inspired the establishment of Green Tomatoes Theatre Group.
